Follow our simple step by step guide to register and get started on Adelaide Baby Bargains.

TO REGISTER TO BECOME A MEMBER:

Click ‘Register’ on the top right hand corner of the screen, next to ‘Welcome, visitor’. Enter a username of your choice and a valid email address and click ‘Register’.
We will send you an email confirming your registration and include a password for login so please check your inbox promptly.

If you haven’t received your email within a minute or so, please check your junk mail folder just in case it sneaks through!

Once you receive your confirmation email, you can login and start using the site!

SUBMIT YOUR LISTING IN 3 EASY STEPS:

Click on the blue “POST AN AD” button on the top right-hand side of the screen.

Choose the cost per listing (default is FREE or choose “Featured Listing for 99c” from the drop down menu) and select the category you’d like the listing to appear in. Choose “GO”.

Add the title (this will appear in the search results), description, price, pick up location, postage options, tags (key words users might find your ad under) and image for your listing. Please note maximum 2MB size per image. Choose “CONTINUE”.

We will then display a summary of your ad, together with a copy of ABB’s terms of posting. Choose “PROCEED” to post your ad and it will then go live to the site. All done!

Should a buyer be interested in your item, an email will automatically be sent to you with their enquiry so there’s no need to keep checking your listings.

To respond to buyer’s enquiries, simply ‘REPLY’ to their email and it will automatically message them back with your response. SIMPLE!

FOUND SOMETHING YOU WANT TO BUY?

If you’ve found something you’d like to buy, simply complete the form on the right hand side of the listing and submit. This will send an email directly to the seller. They simply reply to your email and you’ll receive an email back in your inbox. We’ve tried to make it really straightforward and easy for you to buy and sell on the site so there’s no need to check your listings to watch for responses.

CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD:

Go to ‘My Dashboard’ in blue on top right-hand corner of screen.

Choose “Edit Profile” under ‘User Options’

Enter new password in ‘New Password’ field and reconfirm in the ‘Password Again’ field

Click “UPDATE PROFILE” button to confirm.

USING THE FORUMS:

Using our forums is a fabulous way to get much needed advice and ideas from our members. Please note that you must be logged in to be able to post on the forums.

To post a response to a current topic, click on “REPLY” on the blue tab at the bottom of the page, enter your response and click “SUBMIT”.

To start a new topic, click on the blue “NEW TOPIC” tab, enter your topic name and your comments. Click on “SUBMIT” when finished.

To watch a topic, click on the blue ‘SUBSCRIBE’ tab and you will be emailed when a response is received on that topic.

The forums also offer a SEARCH function to assist you in finding specific advice.

ADELAIDE BABY BARGAIN GUIDELINES

Our aim is to keep our site fresh and current and request that all of our members treat each other with respect and integrity. With this in mind, the following guidelines will ensure our site remains fresh, current and provides the best possible shopping experience for our members.

ADHERENCE TO OUR GUIDELINES IS MANDATORY.

1. ALL LISTINGS WILL STAY LIVE FOR 30 DAYS, after which time they will expire. A reminder email will be sent once they have expired giving you the opportunity to relist quickly and easily.
A) DO NOT DUPLICATE YOUR LISTINGS. This is considered spamming of the site and won’t be tolerated. Our members will browse down the page or page by page using the photo album to see your item, it doesn’t need to be appearing in the last 48 hours to be successful.
B) SOLD ITEMS ARE TO BE DELETED IMMEDIATELY so that only available items remain on the website.
C) PLEASE RESPOND TO ALL BUYER’S ENQUIRIES PROMPTLY to make sure you keep your buyers interest and don’t miss out on sales! Even if your product is sold, please extend the common courtesty to them to advise the listing is no longer available. It’s the least you can do given you have sold your item using our FREE service.
D) BUYERS, IF YOU COMMIT TO BUY A PRODUCT, PLEASE FOLLOW THROUGH. Just like the popular auction site, if you commit you do exactly that, commit. If you change your mind, you receive negative buyer feedback. The same rules apply here – repeat offenders who ‘keep changing their mind’ will be warned and risk access to our fabulous site. Sellers put the goods on hold in good faith, removing them from sale from the rest of our users so you need to stand by your commitment and follow through to completion promptly.
E) BUYERS, IF YOU CANNOT MAKE YOUR PREARRANGED PICKUP TIME, YOU MUST LET THE SELLER KNOW. No shows are not only rude but waste valuable time. Disrespectful behaviour such as this won’t be tolerated and repeat offenders will again risk losing access to this page. Abuse it and lose it!

2. NO CANS OF BABY FORMULA OR OPENED PACKETS/BOXES OF NAPPIES that have been opened or could have been compromised in any way to ensure we adhere to health regulations. The liability risk you take upon yourself is just not worth it!
3. TICKETS MUST BE SOLD FOR NO MORE THAN THE FACE VALUE THEY WERE PURCHASED FOR and only tickets to children’s events are permitted to be sold.
4. CAR SEATS AND BABY CAPSULES that are listed MUST adhere to the Australian Safety Transport Bureau guidelines which state:
» The restraint must have the Standards Australia mark.
» The restraint must not be more than 10 years old.
» You must not sell a restraint if it has been in a crash or if it is damaged

5. NO LINKS TO ANY OTHER SITES. The purpose of the site is to buy and sell goods to users on this site, so let’s keep the focus within Adelaide Baby Bargains.
IMPORTANT: It is up to each and every seller to ensure that their products are not broken or defective in any way. If there is anything that could affect the operation or the buyer’s consideration of purchasing the product, please state this clearly on the listing description so that potential buyers can take this into account when making their decision. Failure to do so could affect your ability to use this service. No illegal products or those that breach the manufacturer’s copyright in any way, shape or form. This includes copied computer games.
